I'm writing this from Chintamoni village. It has been more than a month since the flood came and there are still places here where it has not receded.
In the first phase, our team worked on the ground with 36 NGO partners to distribute 23,617 relief kits, reaching over 7,500 families. WASH, food, water, tarpaulins — whatever the community needed, we delivered.
In phase two we launched Mur Ghor — my home, in Assamese. The people I am meeting have not only lost belongings. Many have lost the entire house. Our aim is to give those houses back, rebuilt alongside them with their effort.
What I have seen here is resilience. Communities helping communities. People arriving from across India to do what they can, and people in Assam receiving them with real warmth. What a community needs most is someone willing to listen, and one reason to hope.
Team Donatekart stands with the people of Assam, and we will see this through. Thank you for restoring faith in what a community can do for itself.
ধন্যবাদ, Dhonnobad.
